This morning I went to Leon Hill’s court case at the Tokyo
Appeals Court. Following is Leon’s
explanation of what
happened:
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers.
It was a longer
session at about 40 minutes this time. I was on the stand
myself this time
questioned by our Lawyer, Mr. Notake.
The next date
will be July 19th at 1pm.
Lawyer Notake's comments to Pastor Okita sum
thing up quite nicely. He
said, "Appeals are usually over in 1 or 2 times.
(Smile!)" Pastor Okita
confirmed that this was a good sign. Again, "(a
nod and a smile)".
So we are still in the ball game, but the next time is
pivotal. The judges
will decide to accept Lawyer Notake's request to recall
the other two
witnesses. Crucial to his case.
Pray that the requests
of Lawyer Notake to recall the previous witnesses
will be allowed and that
appropriate expert witness will be available.”

Today we had a very lively time with Mr. Akiyama, Mr. Takahashi and Mr.
Saito. Mr. Takahashi
Is continuing to open up his heart. I am grateful that
short termer Joel Manning of TwinLakes Church,
Could attend today, and will
be filling in for me 7/7, 7/21 while I am in the US.
