Here in YUMA
Yes we made it to Yuma. Arizona on Friday with no problems. Kent and I really enjoyed the day of travel. It was a short drive only 3 1/2 hours. We stopped for lunch by the road which I had packed before we left to expedite our travel.
It was a really pretty drive across the desert too. We saw so much of it in bloom. And then when we got closer to Yuma we started seeing lots of fields..of green. Wow how pretty! Apparently this is where a lot of lettuce comes from as well as broccoli, cauliflower. They also grow some oranges and grapefruit and lots of lemons. We also found that they raise dates here too. So all in all a lot of food is grown here. We are enjoying some good prices on the local produce. And yes we even were able to go to an outdoor farmers market. Today the temps went to 88. I know many of you are still dealing with snow...I am sorry you can’t enjoy this beautiful sunshine.
We had a good Sunday at Grace Bible Fellowship church. We had met the pastor and a possible candidate for WorldVenture on Saturday. We are here to interview the couple interested in serving. After Kent spoke in Sunday School and church, there were a few more interested in serving. so he had a lunch interview today as well. It has definitely been a good trip so far.
We are planning on staying a week since we have some other things to do. I am sending you a little sunshine from Arizona.
Love, The Roving Reimers
