Kids Missions Camp 2008

A record number of campers, great missionaries, tons of cultural activities and a great tribal theme all describe this year's Kid's Missions Camp in Trout Lake, WA. The highlight was dividing the campers into two tribes, putting them into villages out in the woods, giving them chiefs to define distinct tribal identities, and then after a day, introducing them to colonialism by having two white "missionaries" come in and shred the tribes of their tribal distinctives... all in the name of the gospel of course! Fortunately, we got the kids patched back up and introduced appropriate ways to reach tribal peoples. The campers left with a ton of missions education and a bunch of great memories.

Alicia Hazen is engaged!

Looks like the Hazens sucked in another potential son-in-law! Wedding date is August 9, 2008. We think we got another trophy! Jason Moss is the name. Oregon has many varieties of moss. We think this one adds some major qualities to that collection!
