WorldVenture, being a global organization with missionaries in over 60 countries, has serious prayer needs nearly every month that reach beyond our regular prayer needs, i.e. car accidents, political unrest, evacuation of missionary families, severe illness, etc.
We are raising a team of prayer warriors willing to stop and pray ... anytime, anywhere.
Using text messaging, which has become common and inexpensive, we have launched a text message prayer group with a service called Tatango. There is no charge, of course. We are simply looking for those who want to do something for missions that is immediate and powerful.

Easy unsubscribe anytime.
You are in control. We want you to take a step out and volunteer to be a prayer warrior, but if it isn't something you want to continue, we have made it very easy to unsubscribe right from your cell phone.
No schedule of texts.
If there are no severe prayer needs, we won't send a message, so you can be sure when you do get a text from our group, we're serious. You will know the issue is important enough for us to ask you to stop and pray about it.
No more than five texts a month.
Though it rarely happens, if we have more than five severe prayer needs in a month, we will not send you more than five texts. We want to walk the line of connecting needs with your faithful prayers and protecting your time.
Note: You can receive more than five texts a month by replying "more texts". We'll still keep the prayer requests to the most important and urgent, but we'll send you texts after the monthly five limit.
