Hundreds of refugees are fleeing into Poland with lines on the Ukraine side of the border being two to three days long. Churches in Poland stand ready to offer clothing, food, and shelter to Ukrainians fleeing the violence. Our WorldVenture team stand with them, actively working even as we speak to give practical aid to refugees from driving to the border to give them rides to offering up their homes.
Many women and children were forced to travel alone, as men under age 60 were not allowed to leave the country. They have no place to go, are living out of a suitcase, and have no idea where their next meal is coming from. Our missionaries and local churches want to help as much as possible, but funds are limited. We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Funds from this project will be used to assist Ukrainian refugees who are relocating to Poland. The length of their stay is unknown, and their needs are varied. Our desire is to assist them as much as possible, which may include, but is not limited to, housing, household goods, clothing, job placement, and counseling.
