Admissions Coordinator/Administrative Assistant -Tyndale Theological Seminary

The Admissions Coordinator / Administrative Assistant will work primarily with the Vice President of Operations and Administration and the Director of Admissions to develop, implement, and maintain a plan for student admissions. This person will also oversee that the goals of the admissions process are met for each potential student in a timely manner. General administrative tasks and activities unrelated to admissions will also be assigned. This is a full-time position.

REQUIREMENTS:
Support based position. This position requires demonstrated Christian character, the ability to work well with people from many cultures, a deep commitment to an Evangelical and Protestant faith and a pastoral heart. • Conversational Dutch and English language abilities • Knowledge and experience in serving in and through a local church • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Commitment to quality service and follow-through • Basic computer skills • Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree • Administrative experience in church, parachurch, NGO or educational setting
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the Director of Admissions and others to form a team to review, develop and implement a plan for student admissions (Admissions Policy SP-07-06) for Tyndale. • Provide general coordination and oversight for the admissions area, including, but not limited to: o (1) responding to admissions and financial aid inquiries o (2) conducting interviews and coordinating visits of prospective students o (3) forwarding admissions information material or packets to applicants o (4) compiling and reviewing applicants’ admissions’ files for completeness o (5) circulating completed applicant’s admissions files to the Admissions Committee o (6) coordinating and attending meetings of the Admissions Committee o (7) maintain admission’s statistics and prepare reports for the board of directors • Assist, as needed, the Alumni Coordinator to engage alumni and other Tyndale Ambassadors to promote and discuss Tyndale with prospective students • Advise on matters related to student recruitment, such as recruitment letters to alumni, individuals, families, churches, schools, parachurch organizations and sponsors • Assist in various administrative tasks unrelated to admissions as assigned by the Vice President of Operations and Administration • Assist in various administrative tasks that may be assigned by the Vice President of Academic Affairs Other Duties • Travel as needed to conduct recruitment activities for the school, initially focusing on Europe

LIVING ENVIRONMENT:
The person would be responsible for finding suitable housing for a family. Most often this is a row house or apartment. If the person is single, there might be a possibility of living in the dormitory that houses students, but this would probably not be preferred.
