Medical Equipment Technician

Oversee maintenance and repair of electronic equipment for missionaries and nationals in northern Ivory Coast.

REQUIREMENTS:
Hands on skills such as the ability to read schematics and work with microelectronic, inventiveness, electronic problem solver. Cooperative, dependable, industrious, adaptable, with stamina, having solid prayer support base, flexible person willing to work long hours will do best. Also appreciated are mature believers, interested in outreach, active in local church.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain/repair communications, medical and computer hardware including x-ray units, EKG, word processors, computers, printers, disk drives. Modify equipment to 220 volt/50 cycle where practical. Train missionaries and nationals in care of equipment. Build relationships to share Christ, disciple and train believers.

LIVING ENVIRONMENT:
Most team members live on the large hospital compound located on the north edge of Ferkessedougou. Electricity, running water.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
62 bed hospital; about a dozen American staff and over 100 national staff. Also includes counseling, office work, etc.
