I want to give you a quick progress report on our move back to France.
We are grateful to God for the generous response of many of you to
cover our moving expenses. To date, we have received $4450 toward the
$9297 that it will cost to get ourselves and our things back home to
Paris. We are half way there. If you'd still like to help us make it
the rest of the way, then click here.
It is particularly precious to me, Jonathan, that several of my
family members have helped with these expenses, my immediate family and
my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Although they might joke that they
can't wait to get me back out of the country, I know they will all
regret seeing Karen, Michael, and Samuel leave. It is not easy for
any family to send their loved ones off to another continent whatever
the good reason might be. When I see the misunderstanding that many of
my colleagues face within their families about our work, I am deeply
grateful for my family's support and understanding. We also appreciate
you who through Christian love consider us as part of your family and
treat us as such. These are only some of our rich privileges as we
continue in obediance to pursue God's mission by faith!
As Airline prices continue to skyrocket with the price of fuel, I’m
happy to say that we did buy our tickets at a good time. We fly from
LAX on July 4th arriving at CDG on July 5th. It's a evening flight so
we may get to see some fireworks from the plane. Our Subaru and other
household affairs will ship out of LA a few weeks earlier at the end of
June. Everything is in order, but there is still much to do before we
leave.
We would invite you to continue to pray for us during these hectic days of transition back to France.
With much love and gratitude,
Jonathan, Karen, Samuel, and Michael
