English by 2010 The Rwandan government has made the decision to change the official secondary language of the country from French to English by 2010. According to a report, schools will have one year to make the switch. In response to this change, Barbara has been inundated with requests for English classes and tutoring. Please pray for wisdom to know how to best focus her efforts. If the children do not learn English now, they will have little hope for a good education in the future....(read more)

“Bye Mom! I am leaving the church to go to the retreat center,” shouted Anderson each day as we left the church. Anderson, a 13-year-old boy, lives in an apartment right in front of the church in Morada Nova, Brazil. We thank the Lord that we are bursting at the seams with new people. Twelve people have been baptized so far in 2008. Rosaria is the newest member in God's family.She has had a difficult life and praises the Lord that she now knows Christ. Philip’s House helps orphans and abandoned children. It has turned out to be one of the best ministries we have partnered with. We have helped 18 children who were abandoned or orphaned. These children were taken in at different ages—some as young as 3 years old. I have known two children for eight years. Sharing with Hospital Patients Please continue to pray for our Evangelism Division, that they will continue to be faithful in sharing the Good News of God's love daily with all our hospital patients. Unfortunately, the cost for building a staff house has skyrocketed in the last few months—current estimates are at $30,000 to build a duplex. Construction is on hold for now.
