This is the first page of the book of Matthew in the Moroccan Arabic translation of the New Testament that was printed in 1967. The hand written script is characteristic of a Moroccan style that has been historicaly used in the transcription of the Koran

Moroccan New Testament

Sometime around the late 1950´s and early 1960´s work was done on a Moroccan Arabic Translation of the New Testament. We do not know exactly who did the original translation but one report has it that it was done by a converted Imam.

The hand written arabic script has been identified as a style used in North Africa (Morocco) in the transcription of the Koran.

Moroccan New Testament Title

This is the title of a New Testament translation in Moroccan Arabic. As far as we know this translation was only printed once in Britain in 1967 under the name "New Testament in Arabic Mogrebi 293". The printer was "Lowe and Brydone (Printers) Limited, London, N.W."

The original manustript was hand written in Arabic which was then printed as such in the printed edition.
