All effective missionaries seek to work themselves out of a job. They raise up national leaders to take their place and move the work ahead. So this value is equally close to the heart and vision of WorldVenture as a whole.

Build and Nurture a National Church

In areas we work where there is no witness of the gospel or very small, our focus is planting churches.

Support National Associations of Churches

In areas where we have a history of work or the church has grown, we help establish the connection of these churches and coordination, often by forming national associations. Once formed, we begin a new partnership relationship. We invite more ownership from the national association to the ministries being done in the country, and invite these church leaders to speak into ongoing work.

Encourage National Mission Sending Agencies

Our President Hans Finzel has said, “The end of missions is missions.” This means the main outcome of missions is discipling national believers and passing to them a heart for the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
