The Church
This Great Commission was given to the church, not to just mission agencies or missions-minded people. For this reason, we believe it is through the church that God plans to bridge cultures, to overcome strongholds of darkness, and to draw men, women, and children to Himself. Not only do we believe it ... we see Him doing it right now.
WorldVenture joins this movement of God by partnering with churches in the U.S. and in each country where we work.
Kingdom Synergy
Collaboration between a church and WorldVenture is about more than recruiting missionaries.
We are passionate about mobilizing the whole church to reach the whole world.
We also want to help you mobilize the large number of people in your church who have a passion for missions but aren’t necessarily called to be missionaries themselves. These are the folks who want to do more than just “pay and pray.”
We have new approaches that allow those folks in your church to get engaged, and at the same time be connected to WorldVenture’s team for resources and support. Sound interesting?
Collaboration
The word gets used a lot when people talk of partnerships, but it is rare to experience it in practice. Why?
True collaboration between the church and missions requires humility—each party doing more listening than telling, doing more serving than directing, and being willing to occasionally compromise personal benefit in lieu of a greater Kingdom benefit.
As God’s people we are commanded to work together. It is through mutual empowerment that we will see and experience the manifest power of the Kingdom of God fully unleashed.
True collaboration requires humility - each party doing more listening than telling.
Effective models of church/mission partnerships are rarely based on an “either/or” paradigm. (You know—either the mission tries to “do it all,” or the church does, and in the end neither realizes the full potential they would have had they collaborated.)
We’re looking for relational partnerships with churches who are ready to really partner—sharing responsibility, vision, control, and the care for “our” missionaries. In short, WorldVenture is looking for fellow collaborators.
Regional Coaching
WorldVenture has Regional Mission Directors spread out across the U.S., covering the six regions pictured on the map below. The fact is, we have more partnership opportunities coming to us every day than these directors have the ability to pursue and develop. While we can’t multiply these unique leaders, we can multiply WorldVenture’s presence and value within each region by igniting a new model of regional ministry.
We are mobilizing trained and committed coaches to serve as part of our Regional Teams. Some of these coaches work with missionary candidates, getting to know them and the calling God has placed on their life, and guiding them through the process of determining whether service with WorldVenture is a good fit for their God-given gifts, experience, and vision.
Other coaches serve by connecting with churches, or representing WorldVenture at campuses and events, or helping business men and women get involved with Transformational Ventures. Some coaches are missionaries, some are pastors, and others are just passionate Christ-followers in local churches who have a heart for missions and valuable life experience to bring to the table.
