WorldVenture understands that it is the local church who sends out global workers; organizations such as ours then come alongside your church to help facilitate ministry and care for you in a cross-culture setting.

Prior to beginning an application with WorldVenture, we connect with each candidate’s pastor and confirm their church is supportive of them serving in missions with WorldVenture. If you have not yet talked with your pastor about your interest in missions, we would encourage you to do so. This will not only provide the opportunity for additional prayer support from your church leadership, but also their guidance.

WorldVenture understands that raising support can be a daunting process. However, the benefits vastly outweigh the initial hesitations. By forming a strong support team, workers gain a network of people praying for them, encouraging them, and meeting their needs. This process allows for many more people to actually be part of the ministry taking place overseas.

WorldVenture works with those who have debt on a case-by-case basis. A good rule of thumb, however, is to have debt lowered to $20,000 before applying, along with an attainable plan to eliminate the rest of that debt completely before moving overseas.

Thank you for your interest in WorldVenture. Baptism by immersion is a foundational belief of WorldVenture. Not only is this the common expression of faith by WorldVenture personnel, it is also the common practice of our partners globally.
