Executive Assistant to the President of Tyndale Theological Seminary

The Executive Assistant is responsible for assisting the President in the administrative functions of the school. This includes various functions described in the responsibilities section. This is a full-time position.

REQUIREMENTS:
Support based position. • Significant interpersonal skills and the ability to balance the needs of the school • Good communication and writing skills • Demonstrated ability to develop teams and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, supporters, and board members. • The ability to handle multiple details in the areas of academics, administration, logistics and technology. • Previous experience as a senior level executive assistant in an academic institution or non-profit entity. • Bachelor’s degree. Prefer broad experience in administration, business, promotion, and education. • Administrative experience in an accredited college, university, or non-profit corporation. • English speaking; conversational Dutch preferred. • Knowledge of MS office and Google Workspace.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a trusted advisor and confidant, providing confidential and strategic support to the President on a wide range of matters. • Manage the President’s calendar, prioritizing appointments, travel arrangements, and deadlines. • Serve as the primary point of contact for the President’s office, fielding inquiries and managing correspondence with internal and external audiences. • Draft and edit a variety of materials for the President, including presentations, speeches, and correspondence. • Organize and manage meetings, conferences, and events for the President, including logistics, agendas, travel arrangements, and materials. • Provide support for the Board of Directors meetings, including agenda preparation, materials distribution, and communication with board members. • Works closely with the President and Vice-Presidents in ensuring that all critical administrative, academic, and operational aspects of the school are functioning well. • Provides for general administrative needs, including computer processing, recording and distributing meeting minutes, filing and organizing documents. • Maintains Tyndale’s online database (Little Green Light) and oversees seminary mailings. • Develops a process and progressively creates a storage resource for all major seminary forms and documents, particularly those that have school-wide application. • Works with the Vice President of Operations and Administration in the writing and processing of policy documents in the ISO9000 system. • Updates directory lists for both faculty and staff. • Directs people and requests to the appropriate faculty or staff. • Assists the Vice-President of Operations and Administration in maintaining Tyndale’s website. • Performs other duties assigned by the President.

LIVING ENVIRONMENT:
The person would be responsible for finding suitable housing for a family. Most often this is a row house or apartment. If the person is single, there might be a possibility of living in the dormitory that houses students, but this would probably not be preferred.
