REQUIREMENTS:
MT-Experience in nursing education required, tropical medicine training and experience required. LT- BSN or higher in nursing education, tropical medicine school, 2 or more years hospital clinical experience in the USA, experience in nursing education required. Cooperative, dependable, adaptable, flexible, willing to work long hours. Some French would be helpful.

Our 3 year nursing program is designed to meet the personnel needs of our own hospital. Responsibilities include classroom and clinical instruction as well as in-service education for all nursing personnel. The country nursing educational standards are improving and emphasizing professionalism as opposed to technician-type training.

Team members are housed on the large hospital compound. Houses are cement block and minimally furnished but with electricity (220) and running water/plumbing. Limited internet and phone service available.

61 in-patient beds, 4 surgical suites, large out-patient clinic that sees 100-200 patients/day, active laboratory, pharmacy and chaplain services
