In recent history, Beirut was known to be a considerably Western city in the Middle East, however Lebanon is currently in the midst of one of the worst economic crises in the history of the world. Electricity and gas are not always available, and the political situation is precarious and could explode at any moment. Instability is to be expected. Most people in the city of Beirut have experienced multiple traumas over the past few years. As such, the needs are great and ministry opportunities are endless. The worker would be living in Beirut, and will participate in WV Lebanon's team meetings and new worker mentorship program.
The ICC church family is a heterogeneous mix of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, including migrant and domestic workers, missionaries, diplomats and many others who have made Beirut their home.
