WorldVenture workers in Brazil are involved in a bi-annual training event for church leaders. This project provides needed funds for these week-long events.
Ten years ago when this seminary was started, it was fully funded by the mission. Now the students pay for 90% of the costs with the goal of bringing the students’ contributions up to cover the entire costs.
The goal is to not only give theological tools and the ministry tools to a worker but also work in building character. The money helps subsidize the costs related to the extension seminary training.
This seminary meets twice a year for a week at a time. It was set up to reach pastors and workers in the more rural part of the state who do not have an opportunity to attend a regular seminary. This project helps pay for the purchase of books and the Brazilian teacher’s transportation.
