6462-945-FBH Prof. Subsidy

The Baptist Hospital in Feressedougou provides health services for the general rural population, which cannot support the salaries of medical professionals. A mission hospital is able to function in an independent financial state and be self-sustaining only due to the fact that the salaries of the professional personnel are subsidized through the support packages of the missionary professionals.

PROBLEM
Since many patients come from very poor circumstances, the hospital cannot charge enough for services to support the professional salaries.

VISION
One of the goals of WorldVenture workers in Cote d’Ivoire has been to recruit and train national professionals and to establish an independent board of directors over the Baptist Hospital in Ferkessedougou.

STRATEGY
The hospital can continue to serve the community through salaries of professional personnel being subsidized through support packages.

CAPACITY
This fund provides the resources to pay the salaries of three doctors, a hospital director, a chaplain, an accountant and an electrical-mechanical technician.
