My teenage son and I are losing our place to live soon and I don't have a job yet, transportation, and no other relatives or friends that can take us in. This is all very unexpected also as we thought this would be a secure place the next couple of years at least. I've been suffering from depression and anxiety and my son was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2019 and Major Depressive Disorder also and has been struggling in school from that and even more due to pandemic learning (online). I've been praying and am thankful every day for my blessings. I have faith things will get better, but I don't really know anyone here to pray with, and I'm feeling pretty low and uncertain of the future right now. I appreciate your prayers.

We have asked for prayer for Ed.....he so much wants to go Home and get out of this body that doesn't want to cooperate with his mind........Each day we think is his last, and then he rallies.....Son Mark is with me, and such a blessing, but he had planned to leave on Monday....now we aren't sure what kind of plans we need to make........We need special wisdom in this, but we do know the Lord is good, and what His plan for Ed might be is in His good time and plan.......he keeps asking if the doctors and nurses can "hurry this up." The one thing that can hurry it up is for him to stop eating or drinking!!! This will be up to him - not a good choice, eh?

We would appreciate prayer for the work of New Hope Center in Goma, DR Congo to help grieving/traumatized children and teens. Because of the restrictions imposed due to the Corona virus epidemic, there are now famine conditions in the city of Goma. Many of the children/young people coming to the center are from very poor families. We have decided to help some of the more vulnerable families of the children/young people coming to the enter. I just moved to windsor, Co.. I am thankful for what I have, and Windsor is a nice town. My job is here, and I am thankful for that also, however, as a 61 year old single guy, I am pretty much just a hermit.This is a bit bewildering. I think far to often about living as a fishing hermit up at 11 mile reservoir where there is a Bible Church close by. I have a hard time with the thought of living the rest of my life here in a culture that is "nice", but indifferent or whatever. I would be happier in the middle of a terror attack in Israel. This is a good place to practice the art of contentment no matter what the circumstances are. Maybe that's why I'm here. Please pray for me in a way consistent with what I've described. Thank you.

Lord God of Heaven, I am searching for your perfect will in our lives. I am also native Ecuadorian but have been in the states since I was 3. I am 57. I have 10 children who are mostly now adults. I have recently been aggressively learning more and more vocabulary and listening to podcasts and the Bible in Spanish. looking up vocabulary, comparing different versions. etc. I am convicted that when I looked up Ecuadorian culture, I find many videos from Mormons who have been there on mission and converting my very own people. My children don't know Spanish well bc I learned everything in English and although I can speak Spanish like a native, I don't have the vocabulary to teach subjects with. Although I can teach English.
I want so much to help in some way. there are some things holding me back. One can be an asset.
We are still homeschooling our youngest 3 children, 1 is 10, 1 is 13, girls, but our 17 year old son, David, is depressed and is very apathetic about life, grades, the future. He has stepped away form the Lord. He says there is 'no point in anything, ( although he says he believes in everything the Bible says about Jesus, God n the Holy Spirit.) He doesn't care if I give him bad grades and only does work when I make him sit down and oversee him. He is very intelligent, (32 on ACT first time) The Coast Guard academy, did not accept him.(only school he applied to and only wants to go to military academies)
His attitude is not due to Covid 19 but that has made it harder for our family. My husband is the scout master for his troop, but there are only 2 boys left in his troop. of which our son is 1. He is dragging his feet on doing his eagle project, which was important to him in the past, but now it seems like everything he is doing is like he's in molasses. Everything is so much harder.
The biggest hurdle is that my husband n I have perfectionistic and hoarding tendencies. I have a plethora of books all over the house and he has everything else.
It is a problem we have to overcome. it is affecting all our kids and our mental health and we can't even donate all of it like in the past.
Please pray that we can agree on things to get rid of w/o quarreling. Please pray the Lord makes it clear to us what we must do and how we can help the mission in Ecuador. I am very motivated and I am also still an Ecuadorian citizen. Would ove to take kids to solidify their Spanish.

We are Both doing Great, but my Prayer request is for STRENGTH.
I can take care of Bob with NO problem as long as he has Strength.

Bob wants to stay Home and I want him to stay Home.
HOME is the safest place for Bob to be!
With the Virus: A Nursing Home or Assisted living place would NOT be Safe.
Bob is totally way too Mentally Sharp to be anywhere else.
Also, another place could NOT give the Attentive care that God has provided thru me.
We are Both Upbeat and Encouraged, but need to Stay Physically Strong!
