Serving on the North Central Regional Team to mobilize churches and individuals for missions. We serve pastors and churches, students on university campuses, and newly appointed WorldVenture missionaries.
Prayer Needs: The fields are white unto harvest, but the workers are few. Pray that God will send out workers into the harvest. Please ask God to use us in mobilizing churches and individuals to fulfill the Great Commission!
About Us: Tim and Joan were both raised in Michigan-Tim in Sparta and Joan in Norway in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. After getting married in 1969 they continued their schooling and Tim worked as a Youth Minister in Otsego, MI and later in Portland, OR. The Cumings were appointed as missionaries with WorldVenture (at that time called CBFMS) in 1975 for the country of Austria, where they served in church planting and leadership development for over 23 years as part of WorldVenture’s Austria team.
In 1999 Tim and Joan refocused their church planting expertise when they moved from mountainous Austria to green pastured Ireland. Their many years in Austria helped prepare them for the slow seed-sowing years of building relationships and gaining trust in the Emerald Isle. Tim and Joan served with the Ireland team in Galway on the West Coast of Ireland for over 15 years. In that time, Galway City Church evolved into a loving group of believers who desire to be God’s servants in their rapidly changing country. In addition to preaching and teaching, Tim served as the Ireland field leader. Joan led Bible studies for women and university students and hosted many outreach and fellowship events. She also served as the Ireland field treasurer.
At the end of 2013 Tim and Joan returned to the U.S. where they are continuing to serve with WorldVenture as Church and Mission Coaches on staff with the North Central Regional Team. They live in Kent City, Michigan.
