Our family visited Ireland for two months in 2009 purely as a vacation for some much-needed rest. We were drawn there by our family heritage, Ireland’s scenic beauty, and its many ancient Christian pilgrimage sites. We discovered a history rich with missions and spiritual transformation.
Over the course of our visit, we engaged many Irish people in spiritual conversation and discovered a longing for something more personal and less structured than their experiences of religion in Ireland. We returned home with a burden to see Irish people reintroduced to a vibrant everyday living faith.
In November 2014, we relocated with six of our kids to Ireland and are now living in between Sligo and Manorhamilton–two towns that are less than .2% evangelical. As God leads, we share a living faith in Christ with people in both towns and we work to establish a living church here in rural north Leitrim County.
