Ireland has a history rich with missions and spiritual vitality. The early Celtic monastic missionary movement transformed the island and led to a Christian reawakening in Great Britain and continental Europe that lasted for centuries.
Today, Ireland is spiritually and morally adrift. Devoutly Catholic until the 1980s, Ireland is rapidly shedding that identity while embracing secularism and materialism. Many social trends once unthinkable in Ireland have been eagerly adopted by large majorities of voters.
We relocated to Ireland in 2014, living between Sligo and Manorhamilton in a region that is less than ΒΌ% evangelical. As God leads, we share a living faith in Christ with people in County Sligo through the ministries of Sligo Baptist Church and through the Crossway Centre in rural north County Leitrim where we hope to establish a living church.
