We are a family partnering with a French church to see Wanderers become Followers in Strasbourg, France. We focus on meeting the marginalized refugee communities with practical help, everyday friendship, and loving conversation about the hope we have in Jesus. Strasbourg is a diverse city, bursting with opportunities to meet those who have never known a follower of Christ and who want to know more about His love for them.

About Us:
We are a young family from the rural mountains of Virginia, where there is a church around every bend in the road. Because we both grew up in devoted Christian families, we thought we understood what a life of obedience would look like for us. However, in college the Lord developed a compassion in our hearts for unreached people groups. We grieved for those who may go through their whole lives without ever knowing a disciple of Jesus or encountering Him through His Word.

After getting married in 2019, we immediately began praying and seeking a place where they needed more believers willing to reach out to people from a Muslim background. When Strasbourg, France appeared on our radar, we were skeptical. Europe? Lord, are You sure You wouldn’t rather we go somewhere more “radical?”

But after an initial two years of service in Strasbourg, we’ve seen God form connections for us with people from places we would never have been allowed into, and they are hungry for hope. They have an openness to spiritual conversations that may not be present if we were in a closed environment.

Our team has a two-fold ministry: first, French language classes offered to the immigrant community to aid them in their new lives in France and second, a coffee shop where they may put their French to practice and gain work experience for their resumés. Both of these parts offer countless avenues to relationships with our students, and we’ve begun to see fruit in them attending our church or small groups to learn more about the hope we carry with us.

Having completed our first term on the field, we now are excited to offer our lives to serving the unreached in Strasbourg for as long as the Lord allows us. We will be taking over management of the coffee shop portion of our team’s ministry, seeking to offer further opportunities to connect with our students. We also will continue to be part of the church planting endeavor among the most marginalized neighborhoods in Strasbourg.

As we seek to serve in Strasbourg, please consider how the Lord might want you to partner with us in reaching the unreached!
