Serving God’s Kingdom through education in Germany – K-12 students coming from over 50 different countries! These students come with a wide range of academic, social, and cultural backgrounds, so it is a joy and a challenge to support them and their families in their education.

Ministry Biography:
I have the privilege to serve as the high school principal at Black Forest Academy, an international school for missionary kids in Kandern, Germany.

I grew up in a church and family that not only loved Jesus deeply but also actively supported missionaries, so I had ample opportunities to see the global work of God. Helping lead mission trips to Bolivia while working at a summer camp in college and my early teaching career introduced me to missionary kids and developed my heart for serving them and their families.

After several years of teaching in Minnesota, God led me to Black Forest Academy, where I served first as a Resident Assistant, then as a Spanish teacher, then high school vice principal, and now as the high school principal.

In over ten years of working with missionary kids and their families, I’ve seen the role that children’s education has in the health and sustainability of families in their ministries. I hope that the administrative and educational gifts and the heart for coaching teachers and students that God has given me can serve His kingdom well and be part of encouraging missionary kids to grow as globally minded Christians who love Jesus deeply and impact the world for Him.

At Black Forest Academy, I help to provide academic leadership and work alongside teachers, residence life staff, counselors, chaplains, and others in the school’s goal to support missionary families in their work around the world by providing quality care for their children. We serve students who come from Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and beyond. In my role, I hope and seek to be effective as a Christ-honoring servant leader.

Please pray for wisdom and discernment in working with students, families, and teachers and for Christ-exalting relationships with students, staff, and German neighbors.
