The IT manager is responsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer and networking systems (hardware and software) that is used at Tyndale Theological Seminary. This is a full-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of the current IT networking systems ● Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades ● Plan and develop the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness ● Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems ● Guarantee the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision ● Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to ● Provide secure access to the network for remote users (if needed) ● Secure data from external attack ● Offer users appropriate support and advice ● Manage crisis situations which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems ● Mentor and train new IT staff ● Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users ● Oversee the use of the School Management System ● Provide support for the website as needed ● Ensure that the phone system is functioning well, and investigate and present options if it is not ● Provide training for users regarding setting up the correct print drivers ● Prepare proposals and review estimates ● Give notice of potential issues ● Evaluate the functionality of systems ● Implement and manage security or integrity and backup procedures ● Schedule upgrades ● Test and modify systems to ensure that they operate reliably ● Keep up-to-date with new technology

The person would be responsible for finding suitable housing for a family. Most often this is a row house or apartment. If the person is single, there might be a possibility of living in the dormitory that houses students, but this would probably not be preferred.
