Outreach to Indians Living in the Philippines

Disciple-making and church planting among Indians in the Philippines. Since the partition of India in 1947, there have been many Punjabis, Sindhis, and Sikhs living in the Philippines. For the most part, they have been ignored by evangelical missionaries and the Philippine church. In recent years, many thousands of university students from India have been studying in the Philippines. There is now an Indian pastor working among the Fil-Indian population, finding many opportunities for evangelism and disciple-making. There is a huge opportunity for ministry among Indian international students.

A heart for the peoples of India and an understanding of the Hindu worldview. Minimally, an eagerness to learn their culture and worldview, and how to meaningfully convey the gospel to them. Speaking the language of the target people group is very helpful, but many of the Indians of the Philippines speak English and a local Philippine language as well.
