Translator or Translator Helper

An integral part of reaching the Shempire, an unreached people group, is the translation of the Bible into their mother tongue.

REQUIREMENTS:
Biblical training (i.e., BA or MA from accredited Bible school or seminary) with an accent on Biblical languages, completed course work on translation methods and principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist missionaries and national church development through Bible translation. Possibly partner with people from other organizations who may be interested in this ministry. If long term, study French in France then live in rural town setting, study more language: acquiring a proficiency in Shempire, if short-term, study Shempire consistently for the first three months. Encourage, minister together with national leadership under the coaching of long-term missionaries. Learn and develop Bible translation skills. Do some training in your areas of expertise.

Shempire and either French or Bambara

Live in small town, same as Requadts, using solar power and electric pump for water from own well.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Office in home, much work outdoors in courtyards and under trees.
