This project provides funds for the development of a resource book documenting the history of Christianity in India. The purpose of the work is to provide a record of Christian history in this area of the world. Needs include salaries, equipment, travel, lodging, food, resources and other operational expenses.
VISION
The values of such a publication are many, including the documentation of the multiple contributions of Christianity in the history, culture, and development of the region.
STRATEGY
The resource book will have articles, photos, and data on the multi-faceted Christian community in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The scope will be ecumenical, studying the Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal, and Indigenous influences.
CAPACITY
We have a matching grant of $50,000 and still need $30,000 to reach our budget. If 10 churches would contribute $3,000 or 30 individuals would contribute $1,000, we would reach the needed amount to claim the matching grant.
