We are Jeff and Malia Walker, and our three kids are Mason, Kaili, and Elijah. In 2022, we moved from Seattle, WA to Japan to work with the world’s second-largest unreached people group, the Japanese.
We live in Ibaraki prefecture (an hour northeast of Tokyo) and are supporting a Japanese pastor and the two churches he leads, which includes a church plant launched in 2024. We believe that God is preparing for a revival in Japan but that leadership for such a movement must come from within the next generation of Japanese believers, not foreigners like us. Instead, we feel God has called us to Japan to help disciple, equip, and encourage local believers so that they can live lives for Christ and share the good news of Jesus Christ with friends and family in a uniquely Japanese way.
Our ministry focus is leadership development as well as cultivating Christ-centered communities for hope and healing among the Japanese people. It has been quite a journey to get to where we are today, but we are so thankful for God’s provision and so heartened every time we see evidence of His work in Japan.
