4000-604-Worker Name Withheld

Our Story: We got married in 2021 and the Lord started to draw us to missions. We had friends that were missionaries for 15 years that encouraged us to look into more training and tell stories of how God is moving in Southeast Asia. We started training and looking into missions in 2023, and we started learning that God’s heart for the nations is shown in every book of the Bible. We learned that God has been bringing His people back to Him, and His desire is for every nation, tribe, and tongue to know Jesus. We originally thought the Lord was calling us to medical missions, but as we took a trip to the Dominican Republic, we saw the Lord moving in our hearts for church planting!

We loved getting to use our medical knowledge, but we missed getting to have longer conversations and develop relationships with the people there. We decided to look into areas that were unreached, and the Lord brought both our hearts to Southeast Asia.

The problem: Southeast Asia has countries with some of the largest Muslim populations. There are people who will live and die without ever hearing the name of Jesus or even knowing someone who knows of Jesus. One of the challenges in SE Asia is the environment can make it hard to reach. It could be that villages are far to reach, limited by boat transportation, or far into the jungle. This means we need people on the ground in SE Asia that are able to and ready to take the time to reach these people. We will be taking the first year to learn the language of the people so we can reach them in their native language and show them our love and care to know them more.

Prayers:
– Pray that the people of SE Asia would have softened hearts and ears to hear the gospel
– Pray that we would learn language quickly and be able to reach the people around us
– Pray that God would strengthen our family to know Him more, and trust Him in every process of this mission
– Pray for more laborers to join us in SE Asia! (Luke 10:2)
