Larry is a devoted follower of Christ, dedicated family man, and appreciator of culture and creativity.
For 36 of the more than 40 years serving cross-culturally with WorldVenture, Larry and Dana Stucky joined together in cross-cultural ministry in four countries on three continents. They collaborated widely with others in establishing new communities of faith, starting and leading higher level training initiatives to reinforce the family, prepare and mentor spiritual leaders, spawn new initiatives, and strategically reinforce fledgling (even experimental) approaches to serving God’s purposes where He is least known. For the last several years, from 2016 until 2022, Larry was tasked with giving global leadership to peoples on the move, with a special focus on those least reached with the Good News.
Now as a widower, Larry is once again embracing a practitioner role, preparing to come alongside Frontier Peoples in a West African context. WorldVenture has endorsed his engagement of Ethnodoxology as a main ministry profile, drawing on Larry’s musical training and worship experience in four languages and several culturally appropriate styles of passionately and meaningfully entering God’s presence as the people of God.
