Please join us as we pray over the conflict in Ukraine.
WorldVenture has an ongoing disciple-making presence in Ukraine and had a past presence in Russia for many years. We love both of these countries and their great peoples. Our hearts broke as we previously evacuated our US colleagues in Ukraine and our hearts are broken again with the attacks by the Russian military. But like so many followers of Jesus in the region, we trust in the Lord. We’re inspired by the beacon of hope that Ukrainian churches and church leaders are providing. We join them in their public prayers for peace and for the salvation of souls. We also pray for the basic needs of Ukrainians during this time. We pray for justice. We pray for hope.
As we pray for our Ukrainian brothers and sisters, we recall the words of the psalmist: “Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident” (Psalm 27:3 NIV). And we mourn with all of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, Russia, and the entire region.
We invite all followers of Jesus to join us in prayer and in worship of our God and asking for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
This is a popular Ukrainian worship song. Led by believers in Ukraine with one of WorldVenture’s global workers, it is a powerful reminder of our need for God and our need to pray to Him. #prayforUkraine
?Video: 9 minutes? Nadia describes the journey from Kyiv Christian Academy in Ukraine to Lubin, Poland where Linda Thomas is located. Learn how God directed their path through various means, including using Google maps to help them avoid a bridge that was damaged.
We are praying for our brothers and sisters in this time of challenge. May the Lord Jesus be glorified!
Thank you. We appreciate your prayers!
Would you consider, for people who aren’t good at prayer, doing a YouTube video of prayer for Ukraine that others could watch and agree with?
Almighty God, I pray and ask You to protect Your people in Ukraine. As You did in Old Testament time, thwart the efforts of Your enemy that are attacking these people. Help them Lord God!
Amen
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen
God bless you, your mission and those still left behind.
Thank you.
Amen
Hi Peter, thank you for the idea!
Thank you for praying.
Please pray for a co-worker of mine (Luba) who’s grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins are still in Ukraine. They are all in areas/cities that are currently actively being bombed by the russians, and they are unable to escape. Saturday, Luba’s aunt was thrown through a wall and sustained serious head injuries. While Luba was video conferencing with her grandmother and another aunt yesterday, the feed suddenly went down. She has heard nothing from them since.
Hi Dan, prayed as this was read. Feel free to go to http://www.worldventure.com/praying to add your requests to our prayer wall. We have someone who gathers those prayers from that wall.
