Training Asian leaders based from Singapore Bible College and Crossroads International Church
The Griffiths have taught pastors, evangelists, church planters, and educators in Asia since 1991. They come from 25 countries around Asia. They also travel to a dozen countries, including Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Jordan and restricted nations.
A key challenge was the affordable education of their children, so they helped start a K-12 international school (ics.edu.sg). They also saw the need for a church suited for internationals, so in 2006 they planted Crossroads International Church (cicfamily.com). Now the greatest challenge is the busy lifestyle of Singapore, combined with its tropical climate.
Rick and Susan Griffith serve at Singapore Bible College (SBC) through the training of church leaders. Rick is Doctor of Ministry Director and Associate Professor of Biblical Studies, teaching Bible and preaching. He also planted and pastors Crossroads International Church in Singapore.
Rick challenges his SBC students to teach or translate PowerPoint presentations on biblical books into their languages rather than write research papers. His students now teach throughout Singapore or back home on semester break or after they graduate. His website at biblestudydownloads.com now has Bible materials in 40 languages!
The Griffiths are excited to see God at work in their ministries. One Mongolian graduate recently trained 76 believers to share the gospel with 320 Mongols and he saw 260 of them trust in Christ!
The Griffiths are also excited for what the future holds. Rick continues to travel to train more pastors in a dozen poor nations such as Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Mongolia during semester breaks. He also now teaches through his Advanced Studies in the New Testament course available at internetseminary.org, along with his two Advanced Studies in the Old Testament courses. Susan has a vibrant ministry of training student wives from India, China, Mongolia, and other restricted countries, as well as women at church from India, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Singapore and the USA.
