Teaching English through a language center and working with street children will allow me to build relationships where I can share the hope and love of Jesus with those whom the Father calls. Through these relationships, we seek to begin Discovery Bible Studies, which in turn have the potential to begin a Disciple-Making Movement among the unreached and unengaged people groups in the area. There are at least ten tribes that we are targeting to see a gospel movement. The major challenge is overcoming the false teachings of the dominant religion, which is mixed with animistic beliefs.

Serving in evangelism and church planting in Hong Kong. High over Hong Kong harbor stands new 40-story buildings covered with bamboo scaffolding. This can be done because even though bamboo is only a grass, it has learned to network. A stick of bamboo is made up of individual sticks all tied together and when several bamboo sticks are tied together, they can stand 40 stories tall. Steel canêt do that. We will serve as Church Partnership Evangelism (CPE) Coordinators. Our primary responsibility is to coordinate and host short-term mission teams from US churches and partner them with Philippine churches or outreaches. Teams will engage in evangelism intentionally targeted at the family, friends, co-workers and neighbors of Philippine believers. We want to grow the number of short-term teams visiting the Philippines to between six and eight teams each year over the next three to five years (currently averaging two to three each year) and establish accountability that sees 50 to 75% lasting fruit from a CPE campaign.
